The hilly landscape offers good opportunities for challenging bike rides as well as hiking trips in the forests around the lakes. In Skanderborg you can go on a boat trip with "Dagmar" around Skanderborg lake in the summer. If you are into golf the place is perfect for a "golf crawl" with only 3 minutes to Skanderborg Golf Club, 15 minutes to Horsens Golf Club and 20 min. to Stensballegård Golf.

Only 25 minutes from here, DK´s second largest city attracts with many exciting opportunities to experience the beach, marina with rental boats, shopping, culinary restaurants, The Old Town, Tivoli Friheden, Moesgård Museum, Aros Art Museum and much more.

If you want to go to Legoland it takes approx. 50 min. by car - Djurs Sommerland and Billund and Aarhus airports can be reached within approx. 1 hour.

Other sights include Himmelbjerget ½ hour from here. You can drive directly to the top of Himmelbjerget or you can go to Silkeborg and sail with the old ferries to Himmelbjerget - definitely an experience.
